Justin Stone ARIL is so catchy & good! I know Jim Roth is an amazing guitar player from his long tenure in Built to Spill, but his solo work has been a revelation. The early collections are like classic weirdo indie rock I've loved 25 years but never knew. Latenight headlight headphones. Now ARIL brings everything together in such a pleasing way. Melodic moody dream indie rock & I love it. Going way out there. The songs stick in my head like classic BtS and Modest Mouse. But Jim's got his own perfect thing. Favorite track: Explain/Highway Spaces.
